I am Kate Campbell-Green. I have almost 2 decades of experience in leading music across all key stages, including EYFS and 6th form and as a community musician. I have taught in mainstream and specialist education institutions aswell as several music services around greater Manchester and Yorkshire.
I have written commissioned articles for Music Teacher magazine and delivered key note addresses at National and Regional conferences on music education. I have also mentored and trained numerous trainee teachers on PGCE, SCITT and other teaching courses. I am a passionate advocate for inclusive music making and using music as a conduit for all educational outcomes.
I have examined for the AQA music A’ level (composition), facilitated on UCL’s ECT Framework programme and am a longstanding Associate Lecturer for Manchester Metropolitan University and The Royal Northern College of Music. I am the chair of the Wider Partnership Group for the Greater Manchester Music Education Hub working with numerous music organisations including The Halle Orchestra, Brighter Sound and Futureworks.
I studied French Horn at the Junior RNCM under James Eastham and also studied Piano as my second instrument. I then undertook an undergraduate, Bachelor of Music degree at The University of Glasgow, majoring in performance. Since this time I have studied various other instruments to varying degrees including the saxhorn family, ukulele, guitar and have obtained grade 8 in Rock and Pop vocals. I am an active composer - both of electronic music and stave notation, mainly for young people.
